This piece is a multimedia work that combines drawing and printmaking. A medium sized section of a tree branch was hand foraged during a hiking excursion. This tree branch was then brushed, sanded, burned, and brushed again in order to prepare it to pull a print. Relief ink was then rolled onto the tree rings and through hand pressure techniques the print of the tree rings appeared on the paper. After the ink had dried a micron ink pen was used to free hand the illustration.
