This piece is a multimedia work that combines drawing and printmaking. A small sized section of a tree branch was hand foraged during a hiking excursion. This tree branch was then brushed, sanded, burned, and brushed again in order to prepare it to pull a print. Acrylic ink was then rolled onto the tree rings and through hand pressure techniques the print of the tree rings appeared on the paper. After the ink had dried micron ink pens were used to free hand the illustration.
